Mr. Akhtar Jawed has joined Wire and Wireless as Executive Vice President. He would be looking after the HITS business of Wire and Wireless.

Before joining Wire and Wireless, he was working with Star India Group - Mumbai, as Senior Vice President Sales & Distribution. He has more than 23 years of rich experience in strategizing effective penetration in Cable network business across India. Besides this, he was instrumental in creating an excellent distribution network all over India. He has spent 14 years with Star India Group, with different leadership role such as Head of Distribution business, Country Head – Sales / Marketing & SMS, Member of Executive Committee, Star India Group & Head – Southern Region, Sales. Prior to this, he has also worked with various industries viz. Automobiles, Electronics & Telecommunication.

Jawed is a Management Graduate from L N M College of Management, Muzaffarpur. He has also completed his higher studies in Management from Halifax University, USA.
